Suburban Sanctuary

I took this garden at the very top of Mount Stuart on as an ongoing project. The garden was overgrown and had no identity and was also deceivingly large.

The garden is exposed to all the elements and has very poor soil, which has been continually improved over the last 4 years. Planting has been simplified in soft neutral tones with an emphasis on shape and texture and is much easier to manage.

A corten water feature, travertine pavers and textural plantings transformed the courtyard into a beautiful extension of the house.
